C1 chapter 8 - integration
"In this chapter you will learn how to integrate simple functions."Table of Contents
C1 section 1.1
You need to already know:
- how to differentiate polynomials (C1 chapter 7)
- standard derivative rules of polynomial terms off-by-heart
- how to rewrite roots and reciprocals using fractional and negative indices (C1 chapter 1.6)
By completing this section you will learn:- how to integrate simple polynomials by reversing the process of differentiation
- why these (indefinite) integrals need a "+ c" term
- that x(n-1) is exception and cannot be integrated this way.
